Brookes Barrack

Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

Brookes Barrack, MS CCC-SLP has over 15 years of experience working with children on the autism spectrum and with a variety of speech/language disorders. She graduated from Rockhurst University in 2003 with a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She has worked in a variety of pediatric settings including home-based, outpatient clinics, preschools, and elementary schools. Brookes authored the chapter on Autism Spectrum Disorders in the Communication Disorders Casebook. She is trained as a PLAY Project Home consultant and is a DIRFloortime certificate candidate. Brookes encourages families to provide a robust language system, whether that is PECS, sign language or a speech generating device, to their children while working to improve spoken language skills.  She also completed the Visualizing and Verbalizing training and uses those techniques with children and adolescents in order to increase reading comprehension.  Brookes is married and is a mom of three.

Emily Tritz

Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Emily Tritz, OTD, OTR/L graduated from Creighton University in 2002 with a Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. She completed her certification in the DIR/Floortime model in January 2011 through the Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning (ICDL). Emily is the only Expert DIRFloortime certified practitioner in Missouri and Kansas. She also holds a Profectum Academy Fellows Certificate. She has worked as a pediatric occupational therapist in many different pediatric settings working primarily with children with sensory processing disorder and children on the autism spectrum. Emily is married and a mom of three.

Tiffany Eckland

Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Tiffany Eckland, OTR/L graduated from the University of Kansas in 1999 with a B.A. in Occupational Therapy. Tiffany has worked with children on the autism spectrum and sensory processing disorders for over 15 years in school, home and outpatient clinic settings. Tiffany is a certified PLAY Project Consultant as well as supervisor. Tiffany is also certified in both the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) as well as Integrated Listening System (iLS). Tiffany is a level CI DIR/Floortime certificate candidate. Tiffany is married and a mom of two.

Kally Germano

Special Instructor and Autism Specialist

Kally Germano, MS in Special Education graduated from University of Kansas in 2014. Kally began her career as a special education teacher in a public school.  There she taught children with a range of diagnoses and needs and began applying her knowledge of The Social Thinking curriculum and Zones of Regulation.  She adapted the "Incredible Flexible You" Social Thinking curriculum in order to use it with younger children and has since used her adapted curriculum with children in social skills groups and during one on one services. She continues to support children in their private school, home and daycare settings as well as in the KCDT clinic.  She enjoys helping finding a child's interest in order to make specialized academic curriculum that is meaningful and motivational.  She is one of only two certified PLAY Project Home Consultants in the Kansas City area.  Kally is married and a mom of two.

Mary Stanley

Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

Mary has been working as a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist for 9 years. She graduated from Saint Louis University with a Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and The University of Kansas with a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology.  Mary has experience working with a variety of populations in home-based, preschool and elementary school settings.
